Man Killed In Deadly Car Chase
According to news sources, a man was killed Sunday evening after attempting to flee from authorities and leading them on a car chase before colliding with another vehicle on the freeway.
The 25-year-old man was driving a 1997 Honda traveling westbound on the San Bernandino Freeway when the chase began. He reportedly exited through Fremont Avenue and continued his drive on Hellman Avenue, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP said that the Honda ended up colliding head-on with a Dodge Charger. There were three people in the Dodge when the crash occurred and all of them were transported to an area hospital for treatment. One of them was reportedly seriously injured, with the other two sustaining minor-moderate injuries.
The Dodge was stopped at a stop sign when the Honda smashed into it, reportedly knocking it about 125 feet from where the impact occurred.
The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene.
