Single Vehicle Accident On Highway 36 Near Chester
According to news sources, a man crashed his vehicle into a pine tree in a fatal single vehicle accident on Highway 36 near Chester.
The 22-year-old man was driving his vehicle on Highway 36 Tuesday morning when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, veered off the roadway and ended up crashing into a pine tree near the bottom of the Johnson Grade, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP is currently investigating the cause as well as the time of the accident.
Upon failing to arrive at his destination, the CHP was notified and dispatched officers to search the roads near Johnson’s Grade where they found the mans truck.
The man reportedly allowed the vehicle to continue going straight as the road curved left, causing the vehicle to veer of the road and the subsequent collision. The CHP said that the man was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
