I-80 Pileup Causes Nightly Traffic

Posted on: 10-27-2011 Posted in: accident injury, Accident Investigation, personal injury

According to news sources, about six vehicles collided into one another on Interstate 80 Wednesday night, causing traffic congestion but seemingly no major injuries.

The accident took place south of Buchanan Street as a result of what a California Highway Patrol official termed “unsafe driving”. As a result, six vehicles collided on the roadway between both the Buchanan and Gilman Street exit ramps. The vehicles involved were a silver SUV, a pick up truck and a PT Cruiser.

One woman involved in the accident complained of neck pain, the CHP said.  However, no major injuries were reported. The CHP is also reportedly investigating descriptions of a hit-and-run vehicle however there has been no confirmation.

The accident caused traffic to slow on the roadway throughout the night.

As a San Jose car accident lawyer, I wish all those injured in this accident a speedy and complete recovery. I advise you never to leave the scene of an accident. I encourage drivers to pay attention to the road at all times. If you or someone you care about has been injured in a car accident, I urge you to contact personal injury lawyer to help you understand the best legal proceedings for your situation.
