Serious Injury Accident on Highway 118, CHP Investigates
According to news sources, two cars reportedly crashed into one another on Highway 118, leaving a young girl with serious injury. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
The accident took place between Grimes Canyon and Balcom Canyon roads when one car reportedly crossed over the opposing lane and crashed into an oncoming vehicle. The CHP is still investigating the crash and are as of yet unsure as to which car crossed the center dividing line.
A young girl in one of the cars sustained major injuries and was transported to Los Robles Hospital for treatment. The vehicle she was in sustained such severe damage that the CHP had to remove a tire from the front scene to extricate the victim with the Jaws of Life.
A man involved in the accident sustained minor injuries. There was also a 8 to 10-week old puppy in the vehicle at the time that was injured in the crash.
