Three Injured In Bay Area Accident

Posted on: 10-28-2011 Posted in: accident injury, Accident Investigation, personal injury

According to news sources, three people were injured in an accident Wednesday that took place on Highway 16 when the vehicle they were riding overturned after colliding with a tree on the roadway.

A 42-year-old man was driving a Scion traveling westbound on Highway 16 when the accident took place, the California Highway Patrol said. The man was reportedly traveling at a high speed of about 70 mph when he attempted to make a turn while traveling too fast. The incident caused the vehicle to veer towards the right before exiting the roadway and colliding with a tree.

The collision caused the vehicle to overturn several times before finally coming to a stop on its roof.

The driver and two of his passengers were transported to area hospital after sustaining injuries in the crash. One of the passengers was reportedly in critical condition as of Thursday morning.

There were no other reported collisions or injuries.
