Recall: Arctic Cat Due To Crash Risks
According to news sources, about 1,384 Arctic Cat All-Terrain Vehicle ATV’s were recalled due to the possibility of the steering tie-rod bending and causing a crash hazard.
The company, Arctic Cat Inc., has announced the recall in cooperation with the CPSC. The recall includes all the 2011 Arctic Cat XC 450 ATV’s as well as some of the 2012 Arctic Cat XC 450 ATV’s. The recalled 2012 models have a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) ranging from 6V0101 through 6V0178 and 700101 through 700230.
There have been three reports of the bent tie-rods however no injuries were reported.
The recalled ATV’s have been sold since February 2011 and have a retail value between $6,500 and $6,900.
Consumers with the product should stop using them immediately and contact their local dealer for a free repair.
