Elderly Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Accident
According to news sources, an elderly man was killed in a fatal single-vehicle accident Thursday morning on Interstate 10 after his vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office said.
The single-vehicle accident took place as the 81-year-old man was driving a vehicle east of North Palm Springs on I-10 when for unknown reasons he reportedly drifted off the roadway. The incident reportedly caused the man’s vehicle to overturn before it came to a stop.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, the California Highway Patrol said. The coroners office said that the time of death was about 10:45 a.m. The CHP is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
There were no reports of any other injuries or collisions associated with the accident.
