Posted on: 12-12-2011 Posted in: Motorcycle Accident, personal injury, SUV accident, teenage driving

According to news sources, a teenage motorcyclist was killed in an accident Friday morning on Kelly Ridge when he collided with an SUV attempting to make a U-turn on the roadway.

The 19-year-old man was riding a motorcycle on Kelly Ridge when at the same time a man driving a Honda Pilot SUV was reportedly attempting to complete a U-turn on the roadway when the collision took place, The California Highway Patrol said.

The drive of the SUV reportedly said that he did not see any incoming traffic before he began the U-turn.

The motorcyclist was ejected as a result of the collision and sustained major injuries before being transfered to an area hospital. He reportedly died shortly after.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
