According to news sources, one man was taken to the hospital after sustaining injuries in a three-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Highway 65 after a wrong-way driver reportedly collided with a vehicle on the roadway.

The wrong-way driver was reportedly traveling in the opposite direction in northbound lanes on Highway 65 near Sunset Blvd when the accident occurred, the California Highway Patrol said. The driver of a Honda Civic heading northbound on the roadway at the time reportedly attempted to avoid collision with the vehicle by swerving but was unsuccessful in his attempt. The accident ended up involving three vehicles in total, the CHP said.

One person was reportedly transported to an area hospital after sustaining undisclosed injuries in the crash.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
