Truck Crashes Into Apartment Building in Imperial Comments Off

It was reported that a truck drove into an apartment complex in the city of Imperial this morning, causing two people to incur injuries that resulted in a trip to the hospital.

A food distribution truck was driving south on Highway 86 when it suddenly careened off the road, driving over a drainage ditch and crashing through a fence.  The wild ride caused the vehicle to go into the air, and once it landed, it crashed into two cars before veering into the aforementioned apartment complex.

Officers of the California Highway Patrol suspect that the person driving the vehicle either fell asleep at the wheel or had some kind of medical condition.  An investigation is underway.

The man whose apartment sustained the most damage was on his couch when the truck sprang through the wall and pinned him to the wall.  Both this man and the driver of the truck were taken to nearby Pioneers Memorial Hospital to receive treatment for moderate to serious injuries.

My experience as a Roseville car accident lawyer has taught me that the road can be a dangerous place.  But we must always be aware that the damage that a hazard causes isn’t always limited to the highway, as illustrated here.  As a personal injury lawyer in Roseville, I can’t stress enough how important following safety precautions can be in preventing havoc of all sorts.
