Three Girls Injured In Hit-and-Run Collision
According to news sources, three girls were injured in a hit-and-run collision last weekend when a vehicle reportedly veered into the bicycle lane near Santa Monica Drive and struck them before leaving the scene.
The victims of the crash were sisters ages 6 and 8, along with a 10-year-old friend who was with them at the time. Also walking with the victims on the bicycle lane at the time was the sisters’ 50-year-old mother, who was reportedly uninjured in the incident. The vehicle involved, described a gray older model with damage to thew left front fender, reportedly left the scene after the incident took place.
The girls were transported to an area hospital and two have since been discharged, the California Highway Patrol said. The remaining third child was transferred to Northridge hospital.
The CHP is currently investigating the crash.
