Vehicle Overturns on San Jose Freeway, Leaving One Dead

Posted on: 02-21-2012 Posted in: accident injury, Accident Investigation, personal injury, SUV accident

According to news sources, one person died in a single-vehicle crash Monday morning after a vehicle carrying 8 people reportedly overturned on a San Jose freeway.

The incident took place when a Chevy Trailblazer heading northbound from Highway 101 towards the Capitol Expressway ended up overturning on the roadway, the California Highway Patrol said. The vehicle overturned as it was reportedly approaching an off-ramp too fast, causing in to hit a raised curb and overturn as a result, the CHP said.

A passenger in the rear seat was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Another passenger sustained major injuries in the crash and was taken to an area hospital.

As a Oakland car accident lawyer, I offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. In my line of work, I am familiar with accidents of this tragic nature.  I encourage drivers to pay attention to the road at all times. If you or someone you care about has been struck by a car and believe the conditions that caused it were the fault of another party, I encourage you to contact a personal injury attorney Oakland to help you proceed legally.
