Chevy Suburban Crash in Santa Clarita Valley Injures Eight

Posted on: 04-23-2012 Posted in: accident injury, News, SUV accident

Single vehicle crashes are typical along California highways, but rarely do they affect so many lives as this next crash did.

The incident in question happened at around 6:30 pm on Sunday evening near Chiquito Canyon Road on Highway 126.  A Chevy Suburban was heading east down the interstate in the Santa Clarita Valley when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle careened off of the road.  The vehicle rolled over multiple times before finally coming to a stop on its wheels, having suffered extensive damage in the process.

As a result of the crash, at least four people were tossed from the SUV and landed along the road.  There were eight people total inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.  Of those eight, three incurred injuries that were considered serious.  One person had to be taken to a trauma center via helicopter, and two others were transported to nearby Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital by way of an ambulance.  The five other people involved in the crash sustained what were described as minor injuries, and they also sought treatment at a hospital.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene and had the details of the incident.

As a personal injury lawyer in San Jose, I’m sorry to see so many lives affected by the crash of a single vehicle.  These roads of our can be quite dangerous, which is why I urge as a San Jose car accident attorney that everyone out there take the proper precautions when driving anywhere.
