Motorcycle’s Collision With Car in Napa Leaves Rider Injured
There’s seems to be no end to motorcycle accidents being reported this morning.
This next one didn’t end with a fatality, but it did leave one person with major injuries. The crash took place shortly after 10 o’clock in the morning Sunday. A Honda motorcycle was traveling eastbound along Dry Creek Road in Napa. When the vehicle approached the area west of Mount Veneer Road, the driver allegedly drifted into the oncoming lanes across some double yellow lines.
Unfortunately, a Ford Focus was traveling down the westbound lanes at that same moment and the two vehicles crashed into each other. As a result, the driver of the motorcycle careened down an embankment alongside the roadway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist had to be taken to nearby Queen of the Valley Medical Center to receive treatment for injuries that were being described as major.
The driver of the Ford Focus reportedly did not sustain any injuries as a result of the accident. There is no word at the moment on the condition of the motorcyclist who was injured in the crash.
Being a Burlingame car accident lawyer, it saddens me to see yet one more motorcycle accident taking place. Motorcyclists and the drivers of those vehicles they share the road with each have to take pains to ensure that relatively defenseless riders aren’t endangered unnecessarily. I hope as a personal injury attorney in Burlingame that people out there know how easy it is for a motorcyclist to be injured or worse.
