San Jose man found unconcious 7 days after auto accident
Seven days after a 25 year old male from San Jose was reported missing from the scene of an accident involving his pickup truck, California Highway Patrol officers found the man in woods near the accident site. According to representatives from the highway patrol, local and state law enforcement officials had previously searched the area in an attempt to locate the man. This week, California Highway Patrol officers found the man, who was not responsive but still alive, according to the highway patrol’s report. He is currently being treated for unknown injuries at Regional Medical Center in San Jose. The medical condition of this man has yet to be revealed, and police have not as of yet had the opportunity to question him. Before the accident occurred, the man was most recently seen leaving his place of residence several days before the collision, and he was not reported missing until three days later when the attendees of a funeral noted his absence and became concerned. Law enforcement officers assigned to the man’s missing person’s case were not originally aware that his 1991 tan Ford Ranger pickup truck had been found at a collision site just off Highway 101 near Hellyer Avenue. California Highway Patrol officers arrived on the initial accident scene in the early morning to find an empty Ford Ranger with no signs of illegal drug or alcohol present in the vehicle. According to a statement released at the time, highway patrol officers originally speculated that the man had exited his car and walked away from the scene under his own power.
