Driving test teaches that texting while driving safely is ‘impossible’
Safety surveys indicated that nearly half of teens drive and text, despite knowing the dangers of doing both simultaneously. Safety experts developed a test requiring novice drivers to take a test in which texting while driving is mandatory. The simulation demonstrates to teens how dangerous and difficult it is to drive while texting or otherwise distracted by requiring the to complete an obstacle course while sending and reading text messages.
