Ohio city passes texting ban in advance of state law
Parma Heights, Ohio passed a new law to discourage text messaging while driving. Drivers caught texting in Parma Heights will be fined $100. While the State of Ohio has passed a ban on drivers texting beginning on August 30 of this year, the Parma Heights community has passed a citywide ordinance banning the practice, and this law is currently in place throughout the city.
