Ford Escapes recalled, owners instructed to stop driving them
Due to a potential fuel line defect Ford Motor Company has announced a voluntary recall affecting model year 2013 Ford Escape sport-utility vehicles equipped with a 1.6-liter engine and manufactured through July 11. Owners of the vehicles affected by this recall have been instructed to discontinue driving them entirely until the issue, which poses a fire risk, can be repaired. Authorized Ford dealers will visit the homes of consumers in possession of these vehicles to retrieve the autos, and owners will receive loaner vehicles to use while the issue affecting their Ford Escapes is being corrected.
