Texas cities consider banning texting and driving
Several communities in Hidalgo County, Texas have passed ordinances prohibiting texting while driving. The city of Alton, Texas is considering adopting and expanding the ban to include the use of any cell phone applications while driving. While the measure was passed on its first reading, two more readings are required before the ordinance can be fully enacted.
