West Virginia launches program to warn distracted drivers of new law
West Virginia’s governor has announced a new public safety awareness campaign to inform drivers of the state’s new law prohibiting motorists from writing or reading text messages while behind the wheel of a moving vehicle. The new texting ban took effect July 1. Electronic signs alongside the state’s roadways will remind drivers of the new law.
