According to news sources, a suspect was reportedly arrested Monday when he was stopped by rangers after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle.
The incident took place in north Los Angeles when rangers at the Hungry Valley State Park attempted to arrest the suspect in a traffic stop after discovering that the vehicle he was driving matched a stolen vehicle, the California Highway Patrol said.
A woman in the vehicle was reportedly handcuffed and left in the park ranger SUV when a second suspect somehow jumped into the vehicle and sped off.
There were shots reportedly fired as the suspect allegedly attempted to strike a ranger.
The vehicle then stopped on the freeway after sideswiping other vehicles on the roadway. CHP officers approached the vehicle and apprehended the handcuffed woman. The man was injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.
There were no other injuries or collisions reported.
