Man Rescued From Burning Vehicle Comments Off

According to news sources, a man was rescued this Sunday from a burning vehicle by a California Highway Patrol officer on Del Lago Boulevard.

The 26-year-old man was driving a Nissan 240SX on the roadway when he seemed to have lost control of the vehicle. Witnesses say the man was reportedly swerving through traffic erratically before jumping a curb and colliding with a light post, a CHP officer said.

A CHP officer then reportedly climbed into the vehicles passenger seat as smoke started to develop in an attempt to free the man. The driver was reportedly in the middle of a seizure. As the vehicle began to catch on fire, the officer managed to drag the man out of the vehicle. Moments later the vehicle was engulfed in flames.

The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Only Minor Injuries In 100 Feet Vehicle Plunge Comments Off

According to news sources, two occupants of a vehicle that plunged about 100 feet when it drove off the side of Highway 60 sustained only minor injuries in the Tuesday morning crash.

The 21-year-old woman driver of the 1997 Honda Civic was unable to negotiate a curve on Highway 60 east of Moreno Valley when the accident took place, the California Highway Patrol said.

The vehicle exited the roadway and plunged down an embankment for a total of about 100 feet. Rescue crews were able to use rope and other rescue equipment to bring the two vehicle occupants back to the highway.

There were both transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The accident is currently being investigated by the CHP and anyone with information is asked to contact the CHP at 951-769-2000.

Woman Dies In Single Vehicle Collision Comments Off

According to news sources, a woman was killed in a single vehicle collision that took place Sunday on Whites Canyon Road after her vehicle struck a pole on the roadway, causing a fiery accident.

The woman was traveling northbound on Whites Canyon Road in what was reported to be a red Ford Fusion when the accident took place. The woman was the only occupant in the vehicle in this single vehicle accident, the California Highway Patrol said.

The collision set the vehicle ablaze while the woman was reportedly still inside. She died at the scene. The fire melted the signal box attached to the traffic pole the women collided with and there were other signs of intense fire.

The CHP is currently investigating the cause of the crash.

There were no other injuries or collisions reported in the accident.

Man Dies In Single Vehicle Collision Comments Off

According to news sources, a man was killed in an accident Friday when he seemingly lost control of his vehicle while traveling on Pauba Road, causing him to eject from the overturning vehicle and it finally resting on top of him.

The man was driving a Ford Expedition when the accident took place near Los Cabollos Road, the California Highway Patrol said. The man was the only occupant of the vehicle and there were no other injuries reported in the crash.

For unknown reasons, the man allowed the vehicle to veer to the right of the road, and then seemingly overcompensated and steered to the left and then in the opposite directions once more, causing the vehicle to overturn on the roadway.

The man was reportedly ejected from the SUV and it came to rest on top of him. He died at the scene of the crash.

Gustine Woman Killed In Car Crash Comments Off

According to news sources, a Gustine woman was killed and another woman seriously injured Saturday when the vehicle they were riding overturned several times.

A 56-year-old woman was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe when she reportedly lost control of the vehicle and sent it overturning several times, the California Highway Patrol said. The accident took place on River Road near Patterson. The driver of the vehicle was approaching a tractor-trailer when the accident happened.

Her passenger, a 87-year-old woman, was killed in the crash, the CHP said. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment after she sustained severe injuries in the crash.

There were no other collision or injuries reported.

Man Injured In North County Accident Comments Off

According to news sources, an accident took place Thursday near a North County casino when a man reportedly lost control of a vehicle and sent it crashing into a parked car.

The 27-year-old man was driving a 2006 Toyota Solara traveling eastbound on Highway 76 when he seemingly lost control of the vehicle near Pala Mission Road, the California Highway Patrol said.

The vehicle then proceeded to veer off the roadway, cross towards the south shoulder and collide with a parked truck, the CHP said. The vehicle was reportedly traveling at speeds of about 45 mph when it collided with the stationary truck, the CHP said.

The driver of the vehicle was seriously injured in the crash and was airlifted to an a hospital for treatment of his severe injuries.

Woman Severely Injured In Highway 299 Accident Comments Off

According to news sources, a Cedarville woman was severely injured Wednesday when her vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned before landing once again on its wheels.

The 27-year-old woman was driving a Kia Optima on Highway 299 when the accident took place Wednesday. The side tires of her vehicle left the roadway, causing her to attempt to regain the vehicle on the roadway when she reportedly overcompensated in her maneuvers, the California Highway Patrol said.

The vehicle subsequently overturned before landing once again on its wheels. The woman was severely injured as a result of the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Fatal Single Vehicle Accident Near Simi Valley Comments Off

According to news sources, a man was killed in a single vehicle accident that took place Tuesday night near Simi Valley but was only found the following morning.

The accident took place south of Tapo Canyon Road in the 1100 block of Peppertree Lane when the the driver seemed to have lost control of the vehicle and sent it veering off the roadway, the California Highway Patrol said. The incident caused the vehicle to travel down an embankment upon leaving the roadway and overturn numerous times before finally coming to a stop.

The man was fatally injured in the crash after sustaining blunt force chest injuries, the CHP said. No other injuries or collisions were reported by the CHP in this accident.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash after officials located the vehicle about 10 feet off the road.

Fatal Single-Vehicle Collision in Santa Barbara Comments Off

According to news sources, a single vehicle accident took place on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara and claimed the life of one man after his vehicle veered off the roadway.

The 41-year-old driver of the vehicle died when he seemingly lost control of the vehicle and sent it veering off the roadway. The vehicle, a 2006 Mazda, was traveling northbound when the accident took place.

Upon veering off the roadway, the vehicle struck a tree and plunged down an embankment for about 30 feet before smashing onto a roadway below and finally coming to a stop, according to the California Highway Patrol.

There were no other injuries or collisions reported. The man was killed in the accident.

Vehicle Collides With Tree In Fairfield Comments Off

According to news sources, a man was reportedly rescued by a Good Samaritan after his vehicle veered off the roadway and crashing into a tree, causing it to burst into flames.

The 52-year-old man was driving a 2005 Prius traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 when the accident took place, California Highway Patrol officials said. The man seemed to have lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons when it veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.

The collision caused a fire to start and the vehicle had reportedly started filling with smoke when a Good Samaritan on his way to work stopped his vehicle and reportedly rescued the man by pulling him out of the burning vehicle. A CHP officer had also reportedly arrived at the scene and helped the man.

He was transported to an area hospital after sustaining serious injuries in the crash.
