According to news sources, a man suspected of driving under the influence Monday morning was arrested after reportedly crashing into a stopped vehicle on Interstate 5.
The 41-year-old man was driving a vehicle heading northbound on the freeway when the accident took place, a California Highway Patrol officer said. The man reportedly collided with a Chevrolet Malibu that was stopped on the right side shoulder of the freeway. The impact from the collisions caused the Malibu to overturn several times before coming to a stop, the CHP said.
The driver of the Malibu sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The man was then arrested and booked into a county jail on suspicion of drunken driving, the CHP said.
