Mercedes-Benz Recalls Vehicles Over Injury Hazard Comments Off

According to several news agencies, Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for several vehicles due to a problem with the second row seat belt anchor fitting bolts.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that the 2013 GL350 BlueTEC, GL450 4MATIC, GL550 4MATIC, and GL63 AMG vehicles were equipped with a second row seat belt anchor that may have been fitted with bolts that might have not been properly torqued.

According to the federal agency, if these bolts are not properly torqued, a passenger may be injured in the event of an accident since the anchor bolts may become loose. Toyota Recalls 2007 Through 2013 FJ Cruisers Comments Off

Autocar Recalls Trucks, Brake Components Could Pose Fire Risk Comments Off

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that Autocar, LLC has issued a recall for several units of trucks over a potential fire risk.

The 2011 through 2013 ACX models come with Meritor axle assemblies that could have been equipped with brake chambers that could allow for a pressure leak. According to the federal agency, the parking brake could suffer if there’s a pressure leak, causing the brake to drag while the vehicle is in use. If that occurs for long periods of time, the brake could overheat and cause a fire.
