According to several news agencies, Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for several vehicles due to a problem with the second row seat belt anchor fitting bolts.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that the 2013 GL350 BlueTEC, GL450 4MATIC, GL550 4MATIC, and GL63 AMG vehicles were equipped with a second row seat belt anchor that may have been fitted with bolts that might have not been properly torqued.
According to the federal agency, if these bolts are not properly torqued, a passenger may be injured in the event of an accident since the anchor bolts may become loose. To prevent an injury, the company has issued this recall to announce that all affected vehicles are being fully repaired for free at authorized dealers if necessary.
