California Ranked Fourth Worst for Driving Knowledge

11.16.10

A new study by GMAC (General Motors Acceptance Corporation) shows that around 41 million current drivers would fail the standard driver’s safety test. This same survey found that the overall knowledge of basic road rules is decreasing as reported by Yahoo News.  Guess where California ranks on the overall testing?

California is ranked as the fourth worst State.  Only New York, New Jersey, and Hawaii are ranked lower.  Although, you have the right to assume that others are going to follow the rules of the road, this is not necessarily going to happen all the time.  Accidents happen.  Drivers need to be aware of their surroundings.  Many of these same drivers are either uninsured or under-insured.  You also need to protect yourself by making sure you have adequate limits of uninsured motorist coverage.  If you have any questions about uninsured motorist coverage or other questions, please do not hesitate to contact the San Francisco and Sacramento car accident lawyers at the The Otus Law Group.
