Do you have a personal injury case that is in litigation? Did you get a notice of a Case Management Conference by the Court? This is also referred to as a CMC. What is this? This hearing is for the Court to make sure the case is progressing efficiently. The Court wants to make sure that the case is at issue. In other words, the Court wants to make sure that all the defendants named on the complaint have been served and these defendants have answered the complaint. Once the case is at issue, the Court wants to set a trial date. But the Court wants to make sure the parties have enough time to conduct discovery.
